I feel this to the very depths of my soul, and the biggest reason i want to be a vet is perhaps out of fear too. i hate all the times I've seen an animal suffering and been completely helpless against it, it's the worst feeling and i desperately want to get to a place where i don't have to feel that way ever again. but I suppose that is an unattainable goal because you never can help everyone, right? perhaps it will one day be enough that at least we tried?
it has to be. I know it's hard because I still struggle with it, but we have to make peace with the fact that we can't save everyone, and it's not our job to. I hear you tho! All we can do is try our best.
